Allergic to a city?
I think I am allergic to the city! Since I've been here I've had watery eyes, consistent sinus problems, coughs... all of which hit me this week and have me feeling less than perfect. I'm trying to convince myself that it's just an adjustment to the air. Maybe?
Think i left you last on Saturday doing the long shift. Saturday night my Aussie roommate Cath & I went for a quiet drink and gossip session, Sunday Konstintinos ( the tequila drinking Greek) & I went fo ra big wander around beofer he headed back to Greece. We went to Hyde Park, Kesington, The Natural Science Museum, by Harrods (closed) and back home. Doesn't sound like much but it was about 6 hours of continuous walking in brilliant sunshine before we got home. Great day with Darling (I'm Cutie... it all started with tequila).
As we were in Hyde Park - the biggest park in London - we were estimating how many people would go through it in 1 day. Especially 1 sunny day. it was beautiful and people were everywhere, but everyone had their own space. We figured that if 1% of London's population (8 million) went through the park once during the day in addition to all the tourists, about 100,000 people would be there everyday. At least.
The museum of Natural Science was in such an impressive building... amazing really. Overwhelming ... too much for a sunny day, so we didn't last long. And the fun didn't stop there ... that night Cath & I went on a Jack the Ripper walking tour! Did you know there were only 5 victims? And so gruesome. Ew.
The rest of the week I have been ill. And job searching. Well Job... thinking. Definitely more on the think than the search.
